Introducing the founder of Urban to Rural Roots, Cheri Cranford! Cheri's vision for Urban to Rural Roots: Urban + Rural Homesteading started with a simple idea: to bring the joy of home cooked meals, canning, gardening, sustainability, self-reliance, simple living, and adding a little light to your day.
Cheri's story is a beautiful blend of embracing the simple life of small-town living while still embodying her city girl spirit in the midst of the countryside.
She found the perfect balance between savoring the tranquility of family, community, picturesque landscapes (God's Country), and the joys of nature, all while keeping her urban charm intact. From exploring local farmer's markets, community events, to enjoying time on the lake, Cheri has seamlessly merged her love for slow-paced living with the vibrant energy of her city roots. It's the best of both worlds!
With her passion for inspiring others, connecting people to nature and promoting a healthier lifestyle, Cheri has been inspiring individuals to grow in Faith, grow their own food, no matter where they live. She wants everyone to know that they matter and can make a difference.
On top of the multiple hats she juggles, she is also the wife to her southern man, mother of two, bonus mom of three, grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren and pup mom to Truman the man. Her favorite thing to do is spending time with her family.
Make sure to follow me for updates on my journey and gain valuable insights for your own adventures and simple living. Let's embark on this meaningful journey together!
"Life can be beautiful, life can be messy, but with Urban to Rural Roots, we don't have to navigate this journey alone. I'm passionate about traveling and exploring our beautiful country while making a positive impact on others. Let's inspire each other to get out there and experience the beauty of God's creation. I'm honored to have you join me on this incredible journey!" ~Cheri Cranford
Legacy is not what I did for myself. It's what I'm doing for the next generation. The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.
